my poor girl has a sometimes green, sometimes white weepy pus coming from the corner of her left eye. it started today, & i'll be phoning the pdsa tomorrow morning to try for an appt. (won't hold my breath, though)

i've bathed her eye with saltwater, but is there anything else i can do until i can contact the pdsa?

tia :)

Eye infection called conjunctivitis. You need antibiotic eye drops/lotion from the vets tomorrow.

i will be phoning the vet tomorrow- no guarantee she'll get seen though :(

i was meaning more along the lines of things i can do to keep her comfortable until i can get an appt. :)

you're going to think I've lost the plot, but...

do you have any breastmilk?! dd2 (human daughter, not a dog!) had conjunctivitis and the gp recommended breastmilk. Might be worth a go if you can't get the the vet tonmorrow.

ah-ha, no, i don't, unfortunately.

i don't think your mad though, when my son was a newborn, the midwife recommended it for an eye infection. glad it came in useful, seeing as the wee sod wouldn't drink it lol
