Went to Pets at home couple of days ago and they had loads of new stock in. Spotted a Pet Hair Magnet - looks like a window cleaners squeegie! £9.99.

Have to say - it works brilliantly! easy to use and very effective, quick vac over after use and carpets look great! I have dyson but some of the rugs in my house it isn't very effective on - quick go over with pet hair magnet first and you wouldn't beleive the difference.

Have just ordered a furminator - so with both tools am hoping to have house and our clothes - not necessarily pet hair free as that's just too much to ask - but would be nice if we didn't look like we were wearing dogs coat wen we went out!

Have noticed lots of threads about problem dog hair - so thought I would share.

Ah but if you own a pair of crocs you can save yourself the expense and use them - it's truly alarming how much hair a quick shuffle can lift!

Odd you should say that! If I go in garden and my crocs get a bit wet, when I come back in and shuffle dry them on Dirt trapper mat it does indeed roll fur up in to long strips ready to collect! However to do all my carpets - my legs would be killing me!

Employ the neighbourhood children to do it Grin

Like the way you think!

Rubbing wet rubber-glove cladded hands in circles over carpets also gets the fur up brilliantly. (Don't ask me how I found this out....)
