Pup has just run up the steps from the garden screaming. I ran out to him and immediately picked him up. I did wonder if my other dog had hurt him, but he was down the bottom of the garden.
I picked pup up and carried him into the house. He started biting at his rear paw. On close examination I saw something in one of his pads. It was a thorn - 1/2" long!!!!
No wonder he screamed, poor thing. Given him lots of tlc and bathed it in warm, salt water. Will now have to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't become infected.
