WARNING to those who leave dogs unattended in cars, outside shops, in gardens etc

Rebel the whippet stolen from a car yesterday after being left in a Tesco carpark, his owner was only gone for a few mins, well today has been found with horrific injuries, enough pussy footing around with people, his throat RIPPED apart AND other injuries too......LISTEN PEOPLE, LISTEN or YOUR dog will be next. Please share!

This came to my attention from the Boss of my local rescue but the credit for it goes to K9 Search.

Poor little blighter, sounds like it was used a dog-fight bait??.

A timely reminder too not to leave dogs in cars.One of the saddest TV progs I saw was a fair where Animal Inspectors dragged 2 lurchers from a car,One dead, the other had cardiac arrest and fits.
The owner had left the window open, not good enough sadly.

It may also be helpful to clarify that Rebel was taken from the car park of the Tesco in Hertford, Hertfordshire and was eventually found in Cheshunt. The thief broke the window to access him.

Thank you ScuttleButter, the info I had was as above with no area given, Too bloody close to me for comfort too. Knew it was reliable info as I know the source (K9 Search) is. Do you know if the attack was random violence or dog-fighting/baiting?

I'm shocked, Tesco in Hertford is really busy so this was a pretty brazen theft.
