Lunatic Spaniel in Reverse

I am the proud and loving owner of a Working Cocker Spaniel aged 4 and an English Springer aged 2.

Can someone please explain the actions of the Springer? If anyone is giving attention to the Cocker, he reverses into her and bumps her out the way with his big backside. He also does it to people to get attention if you are just sitting and ignoring him.

I know that Spaniels are in general dippy, and that he's not being aggressive, but he's a big boy, and he can knock the kids over with his bum! Has anyone else got one with similar behaviour?

I cant help you with the dog, but I once knew a horse who did something similar. He was a huge warmblood, and used to scare the crap out of everyone by swinging his bum round on everyone, which is normally a threat from a horse, took me nearly a month to work out that he wanted his bum scratching.

My collie cross does that in play with another dog, no idea why though!
