Snotter in eyes?

My 8 month old pup has had a bit of snotter in his eyes the last couple of days. I wonder if is because he has "eyebrows"? I have cleared the "snot" and parted his eyebrows a lot, trying to train them.

Is this a vet job - can it wait till after Easter Monday?

He could have a bit of an infection there,is the gunge clear? If it is yellow/pus-like then I would see a vet-clear and I would wait.

It is greenish snotter and he has been putting his paw across that part of his face. I think it is probably a vet job, he has been fine today though. Maybe I will watch him again tmw and see if he has snot again.

My 9y/o occasionally gets a little grey gunk in her eyes, but it doesn't seem to bother her and I've put it down to old age, and gently clear it away.

This definitely sounds different - if it's bothering him; pawing at it kinda indicates it is, then is probably a vet job; they'll likely give you drops for it. You won't be able to get an appointment 'til Tues at the earliest if your vets are anything like mine (not available out of hours, but generally fairly good at fitting folk in,) so I'd suggest keeping an eye on him 'til then and calling them if it's not cleared up.

April - thanks I will. I don't think it's an emergency so it will be Tues now. He has been OK today, if he is gunky or pawing tmw and Mon I will have to vet him.

Not that I will at all, but don't you think human medicine but work sometimes. For instance, optrex, I won't, just thinking aloud...
