Over the roads children have taken to playing in the alley behind our house. Their football hits our gate sometimes. The dogs do their duty and protect the house barking like mad at this boy, who they know and who is not a threat. I do bring them in everytime they bark, so hopefully they will learn soon enough in order to enjoy the sunshine they must not bark.

This morning there was a god awful noise coming from right behind our house. The dogs were out and were not barking, so we presumed they must be the ones making the noise and went to see what on earth they were doing to make a such a racket.

It was not out our dogs. It was something else. Something outside our yard that could well be a threat. Did the dogs bark and chase it away? Did they bollocks. The sat in front of the window wagging their tails at us and looking slightly dim.

Last night dd1 and dd2 were playing up and bouncing about the beds upstairs, making a racket. Now Devil Dog had been sleeping on the landing so he must have known nothing was upstairs but the dds. And they are not a threat. He should have been able to smell what was in their room, he was only a few feet away from it.

He went ballistic, barking, growling, shaking etc. It took me ages to calm him down and convince him to come back downstairs.

Last week when a girl was being attacked outside our house and screaming for help, Devil Dog did not bat an eyelid. But he must protect me from bed hopping children [buhmm]

Never mind eh, at least your bed won't get broken.

If you could tell me what my cat wants I would be grateful, he's been fed waterd and cuddled and will not leave me alone - I can only think the sun has got to him already????????

More food. Cats always want food. Or mine does, anyway. Even when his dish is full. Your cat thinks if he keeps crying you may magic up some fresh salmon for him and dissappear the tasteless biscuits away [bugrin]
