Dog with staggery legs has meningocephalitis

Some of you might remember my posts about my dog a while back; we finally got a neuroconsultant and he thinks it's meningocephalitis, which is actually cheering as it's treatable with aggressive steroids. They are doing an MRI and spinal tap to confirm. Thanks to all of you for your support; I will keep you posted.

I'm glad you've got some answers, I was wondering how you were getting on. Glad too that it's treatable, the relief you feel must be immense.

I hope it all continues to be cheering news. :)

Thanks, Vallhala.

I could do a mini-rant about the breed secretary here - I asked her and she just said hissily that we shouldn't ever let her get pregnant, and it turns out it's really common in Frenchies; and I could also rant about our vet locally, who had to be chased ENDLESSLY to do the referral and who said she was just bound to decline until it killed her. Gah. The lesson is I think to go on FUSSING. Also relevant to our dcs.
