Looked at many tears website this morning after somebody mentioned it on here. not planning to get another dog until cherry is 2. fallen totally in lovre with cash, cous cous and cuba, we want another terrier, got to be a boy.

Out walking cherry this morning was chatting to a nice lady, turns out she is many tears home checker for our area.

dh and I have been discussing it all day and decided that the main site is just too far, well during the corse of the day they appear to have moved to a foster hom in newport which is closer (although still a very long way)
anyway have a look at them they are so gorgeous. Smile

diva, some things are just meant to be, you do know that don't you? :o

I looked through that website on Friday, dita - and fell in love over and over again. If we weren't in Glasgow, we'd have gone to visit Laurie, the golden lab this weekend, or one of the ex-breeding brown lab bitches (actually, I'd like to rehome all of them, if we could afford it).

ditavonteesed · 03/04/2011 18:19

it is only about 50 mins from my il's and we are going to visit them at easter. just been out for a walk in the pouring rain and not seen anyone else, thought woudlnt it be lovely if cherry had another terrier to bomb about with, she is always happiest when bombing about with another dog.
my mum has spent all day telling me we are mad, and that do I realise what dogs cost (well der we have got one).
although we do have to go to a wedding in guernsey in June and I have orgaised cherry to stay with a friend, that is at this moment the only reason I can think of not to. not a very good reason is it?

i know how you feel. i have resisted looking after falling in love with the greyhounds on a recent link despite the fact i have terriers and already have 3 dogs so cant have any more!
holidays are a consideration though. we take ours with us but if we have had to go away without them, such as for college things, they go to different friends. we have found it more difficult with more than one as for some reason
sane people are happier looking after only one dog
however, i do know newport very well. if you decide to go for it (hope you do) let me know if i can help with any info about the area

BornThisWayBaby · 03/04/2011 21:24

makes me feel sad looking at all these dogs that need homes Sad

Our Many Tears dog was just fate, just fate I looked at the site, just fate he was there with the saddest story you can imagine. It was just instant seduction, by an elderly, half bald, warty staffie! And now 3 months on he looks 1/2 the age he was, has lots more fur and is the best behaved most loving dog we could imagine. Even DH who was resoloutely against getting him admits he has brightened our lives. I do have the odd look at the site again... fortunately the dogs seem to be rehoused quite quickly at the moment, though I try hard not to think about the Innuits, who seem to have been there ages, and are rather lovely.

chickchickchicken · 04/04/2011 17:45

higgle - thats a lovely story and i am so pleased for your dog to have found such a loving home

a friend has two rescue staffies and they are adorable

monkeyfacegrace · 04/04/2011 18:01

Nooo I will fight you for cous cous. I saw him last night ;-)
Im only an hour from Newport, maybe I could collect them for you, and hold them until you cn pick them up from me Grin

ditavonteesed · 04/04/2011 18:29

tell you what monkey, you have cous cous, I'll have cash so someone needs cuba.

Wish i could, my sensible head has come on today though, I need to wait till cherry has grown up a bit more.

I just pray they get lovely homes as with all the dogs on there, so many sad stories. Sad
