Eight month old UnWiseDog has canine cough. She's vaccinated against two of the most dangerous kinds, however there are lots of other strains which can be a real problem in our area (Western Australia). Cough came on yesterday, got worse during the night and we took her to the vet this morning. She's on antibiotics, anti-inflamatories and has a cough linctus to soothe her throat.
Is there anything else I can do to help? She normally sleeps downstairs but do you think it might be a good idea to have her in my room for a while just in case she gets worse during the night?
I'm really worried about her - she's our first dog and has morphed into fourth child! She's quite listless, not at all like her bouncy lab self.
