lady has just been to do my home visit, and she was very pleased with us. she is going back to the centre to try and match us with suitable dogs, i really hope that Cruiz is one of them. hopefully should have my poochy in the next few weeks.

he is indeed gorgeous! the lady who came to see me had one very similar, he was gorge too, made him self right at home, sat on sofa, budged db up and proceeded to go to sleep, was very funny. am getting excited now

Scuttlebutter, it's funny you should mention the Greyhound default position - Dooin is at the end of this thread and I'm not sure she believes me! ;o

scuttle he wasnt upside down as there wasnt room, its only a 2 seater sofa and there was also a full grown man sat there. am sure if he had had the whole sofa to himself he probably would have been though.

Ha! No self respecting greyhound would let a piffling thing like a full grown man get in the way of essential lounging . He was probably being polite and showing you his best side. Once he has his/her paws under the table you'll witness their amazing telescopic abilities - ours unfold all over our inlaws - tis quite funny seeing FIL wrestle politely with large and stretchy hound before realising that actually being a greyhound pillow isn't all that bad provided they don't start farting and don't steal his beer.

pugly- i fell for all of them too, but many are not suitable for us due to not being socialised with kids, so they were crossed of the list instantly. i got it down to a shortlist of 12, then crossed off the onews which would be least suitable until i had 3 left. then i came on here! people gave their vote, it was even between inca and cruiz, and then i cast my vote, as did my kids. cruiz won because he is the one most in need of a home, and he is very handsome.

not sure when i will know. i did have an email this morning, which got me down in the dumps a bit, but then i phoned the lady and we had a good chat. looks promising.

I want that puppy, Polo, he's stunning, but I think DH might kill me if I got another dog......

am getting impatient now. not heard anything since i spoke to the lady on monday.

it wont be long now. its a good thing that they are spending a while working out best match. i would be impatient too though!!

Re dog farts - our greyhound is master of the silent but deadly - that normally clears the sofa of other occupants pretty sharpish!
