I have a sprightly 12 yr old terrier cross - no previous treatments or illnessses

and a 7yr old collie, likewise, bar a stitched pad and an overnight stay when he ate a tube of exfoliator (!) as a pup.

also an 18mth old burnese mix rescue cat never been insured before

I want to insure up to at least 1500 per conditiion, more if poss.

I am currently paying over 50 a month for the two dogs with the aptly named more than!

Any suggestions?

Depends what kind of cover you want. If you are really aiming just to cover emergencies/ big ops etc, then you could probably get a good deal with some of the cheaper companies, but if you want the policy to pay out for ongoing conditions you might need to be a bit more selective. A lot of policies will pay out for a condition for just 12 mths, then that is it. Many policies for older dogs will want you to pay a big excess, then up to 40% of the rest!

TBH I don't think you'll get a whole lot cheaper than £50/mth, just because of the dogs' ages Sad. And my experience with MoreThan has been ok- they rarely quibble claims, ime. But worth shopping around- just make sure you read the small print!
