Lab puppy and bones?

6 month old lab puppy ( although not a pup to look at!) has found a bone of some sort on our walk tonight and has brought it home and is now sat on the floor enjoying it, in fact she hasn't given me a second look! God only know what it's from, it was just bone when she found it in the field and it looks like it's got a joint in the middle so not tiny? Should she be having this? I think it's actually mingung, she's so happy, I don't want to take it away if it won't harm her!

It might harm her. We don't give our dogs bones anymore as they can splinter and I'll leave you to imagine lots of tiny splinters of bone working their way through her insides.

Please take it off her. Distract her with something better. Or just take the bloody thing.

Raw bones of any variety are fine but I'd be wary of an 'unknown' bone. Swap it for a nice fresh raw one. :)

The "right" bone should not splinter and obviously not a cooked one these can splinter! Our Butcher has dog bones for free and our lab loves them!
