Poo!

I feel a rant coming on....

I walk my dog in local community woodland which has nice wide all access paths (I also have a pram to push so this is ideal for me) and am getting increasingly irate about people whose dogs do their business on the paths and who seem to think it's ok just to leave it there. It's disgusting and I invariably end up with s**t all over my pram wheels. Must also be a huge problem for wheelchair users and families with young children running about playing.

Today I saw a couple watch their dog poo on the side of the path and just walk on - why do they think this is acceptable?!!!!!

Sorry for rant, but surely it's not unreasonable to expect people to clean up after their dogs? (maybe should have posted this in AIBU!)

Grrr!! This really does my head in. Its everywhere where I live!
The other week I saw an elderly man really struggling to bend over to pick his dogs poo up, but he did! Later on seen a middle age lady, perfectly able, walk off when her dog had finished his business. Why have dogs if you cant clean up after them?? Angry

Check out the laws where you are, if you do it here you can (and do) get fined. I think if you say something you might shame them into picking it up

I think you get fined here too. I've got a pup hes not allowed out yet, but I can imagine myself already handing out poop bags to the lazy arses Grin

this is bigbitch90 BTW

Yeah I'm pretty sure you would get fined if you got caught. I would have said something to the couple I saw yesterday if I'd been closer but they were out of earshot and I was still trying to unload pram from car etc otherwise would have legged it over to them! Next time I see someone walk off and leave it I plan to smile politely and say 'oh have you run out of poo bags - here I have a spare one you can use'

Already thinking ahead to when my wee girl is toddling round the woods - yuk - really don't want to have to be cleaning dog poo off my daughter!

I hate this! I offer people who are about to leave it a bag - they're usually embarrassed enough to clean up then Grin

Disgusting! Both my dogs go in scrub and not on a path but I always have poo bags with me just incase.

I have been known to offer poo bags or run after them shouting "Excuse me, I think you forgot THIS!" while dangling a bag of their dogs poo at them! It works far better than getting into an argument about it.
