What to expect after dog spaying?

Hi my dog is in the vets getting spayed today. I'll be collecting her later. I am hoping you all could help me with tips on what should I be doing to make her more comfortable and ensure she has a speedy recovery?

Cook her some rice and chicken as a meal for tonight, it's good recovery food for a dog.

Reduce her food intake by a quarter as they can become overweight once spayed.

don't let her jump about for a few days. I think you are supposed to keep them on a lead when on their walk for 10 days until stitches come out.

she might not want to eat tonight and might still be wobbly, don't fuss her too much just leave her somewhere quiet.

she will soon be back to normal. Hope she's not too uncomfortable tonight, they do sometime whimper a bit after an op.

Thanks for the tips - she was very doped up when she came home from the vets and had a quiet night - had problems giving her a painkiller pill this morning ( tonight will disguise it in a bit of chicken) she seems to have perked up this afternoon although will wine if left alone :(

glad she is ok, she will soon perk right up, my dog was in an awful lot of pain for quite a few days but by the timne the stitches came out was totally back to herself. if you are worried about anything ring the vets, I had to take cherry back in for extra pain relief.
