I am fostering alarge dog who is very anxious and more so if she cannot see me. she only settles when I sit down and is on my heels all day.
Unable to find a large enough crate out here (oman), so any advice welcomed.
Going to get hubby to take turns walk /feed her. but i am at home most of the day so we spend a lot of time together

My very small foster dog (ok, I adopted her Wink) is also very anxious when I am not around so am marking place on thread to see responses.

Do you acknowledge her when you come in? I don't with her and it is starting to make a difference, but has taken more time to have any noticeable effect than I would have previously thought. She is around 9 years old and I understand from the rescue it is a common problem with rescue dogs.

Blimmin lovely she is. Even though she is a pest!!

Hey, my rescue doggy was exactly the same. As motherjack has said, i don't acknowledge her when i come in. Time and love seems to be solving the problem slowly but surely, she's now happy to potter about the house & will settle in a different room to me sometimes too.
