Help - Dog has started weeing in the house...

Our previously house-trained Patterdale has started weeing and pooing in the house - she's 18 months, is healthy, fit, walked regularly (at least once a day) and is let out into the garden when she needs to go (she knows how to ask). This morning she had been outside for 20 mins, came in immediately messed in the house (wee & poo) - it's definitely deliberate, not accidental.

We do have baby no.2 on the way - am 3 days overdue.....could it be that that's bothering her???

Any thoughts and wisdom on how to tackle this would be greatly appreciated Smile

My GSD did that - 8 years old joined at my hip type of dog- did it 10 days running when I decided to put some distance (a room!!) between us for a bit so I could get on with tasks (I have 3 GSDs and they are forever following me..).
It definitely is deliberate, I didnt tell him off (I have never told him off in his life so bit late for that, and I have a really soft spot for him so I couldn't anyway Wink!!)

At the end he won, so I let him follow me again, and it stopped..

I thought that he was being stroppy/rebelling/spiteful, but following on from my thread here 2 days ago, it has been suggested by Minimu1 that it is due to stress/separation anxiety, and was given some pointers to rectify my situation.

I wonder if your dog has stress/anxiety what with your situation? Maybe he is picking your anxiety or sensing the big changes coming?
Sorry for no real advice, but you clearly are having same problems as me, so wanted to reply Smile
