and we still can't think of a name for her Blush She's a big fluffball (has sable legs but is mainly black) and so gorgeous but we just can't think of anything. I was just wondering if anyone could help out with any ideas? Thanks Blush

Our next doggy will be called Morgan, sister to Dexter !!!

midori1999 · 02/02/2011 19:27

She's gorgeous!

My friend's GSD is called 'Lexi', which I wouldn't have thought I liked, but it really suits her.

Milliways · 02/02/2011 19:31

I like "real" names for Dogs. (We wanted a "Polly" to go with our "Basil")

Sally
Sammie
Annie
Polly
Lottie

You really confuse people if you call them a random name like "Karen" or "Sarah". My friends dogs were Neil & Kevin!

pawsnclaws · 02/02/2011 19:42

Millie? I like real names too - we once looked after Malcolm the cat and years ago had two birds called Ronnie and Reggie (the Kray finches - sadly one died and we weren't sure which, so we had to call the remaining one Roggie).

Really wanted to call my greyhound Dave, but he was already named!

SwearOft · 02/02/2011 20:30

I really like Neil and Kevin milliways, shame we don't have two boys Grin

Sorry Pawsnclaws but I did have a giggle at "Roggie"...although not his brother dying obviously!

I once had a goldfish called Dave, and two gerbils who were named Cagney and Lacey...But she doesn't suit any of those so that's no use! Smile

Lyra German Shepherd

bronze · 03/02/2011 15:01

pawsnclaws · 03/02/2011 17:25

From the suggestions so far I like Sadie (or maybe Sable?) - also Lottie is good.

GSD is German Shepherd Dog.

IlsaLund · 03/02/2011 17:36

She's gorgous
I think she looks like a Sophie

JaxTellersOldLady · 03/02/2011 21:55

Zena, Zero, Sasha, saskia (aka Sassy)

Indie, Tor, digby,

But I bet pretty soon she will be known as "that bloody puppy" when she mouths. Grin

chickchickchicken · 03/02/2011 22:05

i like
polly
sophie
sadie
sabina
all pretty names as she is so gorgeousSmile

dickcheeseandthecrackers · 03/02/2011 22:10

I like Molly, she looks like Molly.

SwearOft · 05/02/2011 20:33

Thanks for all the suggestions, DS is still calling her either Dolly or Puppy, but nothing we throw at her really seems to suit her. Oh well, we'll get there (eventually!)

Jax she's already at that stage! Although not too bad with it to be fair to her.

cupcake I feel for you, really...although I'm saying that and am clearly awful at trying to name stuff!

Thanks again everyone Smile

hee hee, doncha just love them?

At the moment Lola is lying on the sofa with me, head on my foot! And her older big brother is lying at my feet. I am surrounded! Grin

I do actually find it quite tricky to say Lola - even though it is only 4 letters I usually call her Bear or Lolly.
