Rolling and scratching her back all over the lounge rug the minute I have finished hoovering? Hmm
She does it every time!

you can get dog hoover attachments - i really want one. i know my three would actually love to be vacuumed...

Blacksand · 28/01/2011 13:50

Maybe it's the same feeling as us getting into nice clean sheets?

izzybiz · 28/01/2011 14:00

I don't think she'dlike to be hoovered, she scared of the hoover!
She scared of lots of things actually, who ever thought Staffys were big tough dogs! Grin

I think you might be right Blacksand! Smile

My 'big tough' Rottie is scared of the hoover. And the hairdryer and fan and anything that makes a 'whirring' noise like that. Also scared of the sea since he got chased by an incoming wave :)

Prefers rolling in mud and horse poo though, personally don't think clean carpet sounds too bad in comparison!

Scuttlebutter · 28/01/2011 14:14

Probably for the same reason that as soon as I have finished hoovering and mopping the kitchen floor, muddy footprints mysteriously appear! I swear they are re-enacting teh Great Escape and wander round the house dropping sand/mud down their metaphorical trouser legs. If a vaulting horse appears one day my theory will be confirmed...

Pterosaur · 28/01/2011 14:15

Perhaps she's trying to reclaim the carpet from the noisy interloper.

Blacksand · 28/01/2011 15:54

Scuttle - send her in the sin bin with a ball Grin

A hoover attachment for a dog ! That would really put the wind up my lab ! (I really dont need her to have any more wind) Shock

PersonalClown · 28/01/2011 19:32

My Staffy is afraid of the hoover too! He tries to eat it.

catinthehat2 · 28/01/2011 19:45

Here is your revenge...

GrimmaTheNome · 28/01/2011 19:50

izzy, because you and the fearsome vacuum cleaner have ruined the lovely scent of doggy carpet, so she's just trying to put it right.

sharbie · 28/01/2011 19:50

mine does this too - either the clean sheet feel or there is no longer enough dog hair/dog scent on it for him
