my lovely one year old Lakeland Terrier is wonderful in the house, great with the kids, well behaved and calm.
outside it is a slightly different story, he has a tendency to run off after other dogs, but I am gradually dealing with this with the help of treats and a magic bag of chicken!!
My main problem is he just gets so excited about Jack Russells, he can spot one from about half a mile away and as soon as he sees one there is no stopping him, hes off after it, and he is more aggressive with them than with any other type of dog. he hasnt done any real damage but it scares me that he may actually think they are something he should kill/eat!!
he has come into contact with a couple of quite aggressive Jack Russells early on in his life and I think maybe this has established a kill or be killed mentallity with him.
Advice please, is there anything I can do to cure him of this, or am I condemned to a life of avoiding any contact with the dreaded Jack Russell!!
