Is there such a thing? (dog training)

We started obedience training with our dog (rehomed him in November)who is a lab cross springer.

He simply isnt into food when outside so we use a ball as reward which seems to be working well other then that my hand is all slimey from his slobber and the ball goes into my pocket (out of sight) which is now all sobbery and slimey.

Is there anything that could prevent this? (not one of those plastic scooping handles) as like to keep the ball out of his sight and at the same time keep my pocket clean&dry.

Gloves and a carrier bag lining your pocket?

Thanks ASlavetoDoggies I have been using a glove and a bag to line my pocket but still messy. I was more thinking of a sort of clip you can clip onto your coat or trousers something and then use a glove...

I put my dogs dirty slobbery ball in a poo bag, I then walk happily along swinging it around with looks of horror from other dog walkers !
