Hairy tuffs in dog's pads

Says it all really- there's tuffty hairy bits sticking out of his paw pads and I wonder if it would be a good idea to trim them a bit or do I leave them well alone.
He does get lots of ice and snow lumps there - when there was snow - so I thought it might help with that as well.

I trim our dogs tufts, i just sort of lift them up away from the paw and snip away.

Yes, trim them.

Ok thanks, just did, the ends sticking out.

We have this problem with our dog as her fur grows through her paws too, Bella goes to be groomed every 2 months and they trim them there but we keep an eye on it because if the hair between her paws can get matted if it's not taken care of and if it clumps can be like having a stone between her toes Sad

bedlambeast Have i done something to offend? I'm heavily pregnant, bored at odd hours and love my dog so i may have waffled a bit. I didn't realise I had to be invited by a select few to participate on a public board.
But i'd like to thank you for making me feel bad about sharing stories about my dog which others seem to be doing without that sort of treatment.
I guess i'll have to find another way to spend my spare time as clearly not welcome here Sad

My springer pup has very hairy feet and as a results, skids all over the floor! I usually trim his hairy feet.
