He got his head stuck in the fence about an hour ago.

The screams were horrific. At first I thought that he'd gotten hold of a fox as the screams were so loud and constant that it sounded like the local foxes when they fight.

My mother managed to get his head out somehow, but hurt her ankle in the process.

His neck is sore and red,and he's taken some fur off it.

Should the vet see him or will he be ok? I don't think he's done any major damage, unless he has wrenched his neck., he's just frightened himself.

Was it a wooden fence?

It may be best for vet to see him incase there are any splinters etc...

It was a wooden fence. He seems to be ok now, though scared of going into the garden, but I may give the vet a call in the morning.
