6 month old puppy off his food and sick

Just wondering how long I should leave it before taking him to the vet?
He was sick yesterday, has done 2 runny poos today. Ate yesterday with more reluctance than normal and today has not eaten at all. He is quieter than normal, but still active and happy enough to steal shoes and chase round the garden etc. Is drinking.

Should I leave it longer or should I be worried about the not eating (he is usually v greedy)? Should I feed him something else than his usual Iams?

I'm no vet, but I'd take him in. Ours has been ill like that, but never off is his food (can't imagine it!).

You could try a meal of boiled rice and chicken to settle him, and if still no improvement book an appt this eve/tmrw morn?

You should proably feed him something other than Iams anyway. I appreciate it is marketed as 'premium' but you could get better food for your money.

The usual with a tummy upset is to starve for 24 hours than re-introduce light foood slowly. I think it's probably best for you to take the dog to see the vet though, better safe than sorry and it could be something other than a simple upset tum.
