any recommendations for indestructible beds?

Old boy and pup are inclined to rip old boys bed apart if left unsupervised for longer than 5 minutes.

It is my old boy who is initiating this BTW.

Can anyone recommend an indestructible dog bed, preferably on that doesn't cost a fortune. Lab is getting too old and needs a degree of comfort.

The closest I have found cost upwards of £80... and I have three large dogs! :(

It's only one dog (my long term foster) who does it, but he isn't fussy whose bed he destroys!

It's back to old duvets and duvet covers with a lot of clearing up for me, so I'll be watching this thread with interest.

I use the hard rubber basket ones and put vet bed blankets inside, at least 2 or 3, easily washed and they can't destroy the bed.

Like walkersmum I use the hard rubber ones with a washable dog duvet inside. The bed is indestructible; duvet obviously not!

I've found these to be indestructible.

Ooh those look good Bella. My lab and speagle are absolute nightmares for shedding beds. They're great in all other respects around the house but have an obsession with trying to 'kill' their beds.

lol, Salty - yes, they are good. I get the commercial fabric ones - 3 years on and still unblemished, despite two big puppies growing up in them

Ouch at the price though! I suppose if I add together the amount spent on shredded duvets and ripped up cushions.....

Well it has not yet been ripped up . It is not as thick as it looks in the picture but the dogs are happy to lie on it so all in all I'm happy with it for the price. The ones Bella recommended do look very comfortable though.
