And just when I thought things could get no worse with training.....

Devil Dog has been trained to walk well on his lead. Sit is almost perfect. Recall is getting there. No more night barking. All in all going well.

In the house Poppy walks brilliantly on the lead. In the house they both walk brilliantly together.

Outside Poppy walks brilliantly when following the cat (who follows me, so that works out great).

Just took them out togther. Oh my word it took us 50 minutes to get past my work place. It takes me 60 seconds to walk to work usually.

Am off to walk Devil Dog properly now as opposed to around in circles Hmm

I would continue to walk them seperately for now. They are probably over excited together and are sparking off each other.

Maybe after a tear around you could walk them together when they have burned off the energy.

Must admit, I am dreading this stage of training, luckily we are nowhere near that.

Your posts always make me laugh, DMC Grin You manage to bring out the comedy in every situation.

Agree you need to walk them separately.

Doom, if it's any consolation, I am currently stuck in a doggy cycle of never-endingness here.

Pup eats everything (earth, poo, cowpats, grass etc). Eating everything makes pup unwell. Pup so unwell have to reduce food to make him better. Pup now starving, tries even harder to eat everything. 'Leave it' command going to pot because not able to feed dog training treats. Pup eats everything...

Today I will be mostly boiling chicken and buying a muzzle Sad.

The trainer said that Bella and Jax. Train Scruff to walk to heel and do the same with Poppy with lots of short training walks in the park, seperately. ONly walkin in the house together, for at least a week until they get the hang of 'heel'. Then short walks together round the same route so there is nothing to excite them.

He is coming to show me exactly how to train to heel tomorrow, but I think I understood what he wants me to do, so will be trying today.

There is humour in every situation when it comes to my pets Grin They are not normal. T'is fun though (and stressful all at once). At least the parrot wasn't there Grin

Sorry about your pup Merkin. Hope he gets better soon.

lol dooinMeCleanin but you sound as if you have it sorted.

Sending round BC puppy for lessons as well! (why does he think he is the only dog in the whole area that the lady in the white trousers wants to have jumping up at her first thing in the morning- personally I think she deserves it just cause I could never wear white trousers with my household!)
