Good news!
Saw his Vet this morning and his mouth is looking much much better. The gums at the back are almost pink again, the roof of his mouth mostly black, much less red and his lips are getting their proper colour back again.
Yes, he is still on a super high dose of pred steroids, yes he is ravenous and very thirsty, but his coat is shiny, his eyes are shiny and his weight is only down by .1Kg this week.
I am so pleased with his progress I could cry, such a softy.
Will keep him on his special diet along with steroids for another month and then see how he is after 2 weeks at next visit. Fingers crossed for my lovely boy, the vet gave him a huge cuddle and fuss, the receptionist came round and said "I am so pleased that my favourite dog has come in today!"
now... just got to stop the minx puppy biting us all and life would be good!
