hi,

can you help me out with a problem please. I have been asked to find a foster placement for 2 dogs, a lab x and a GSD. A horrible thing has struck the family and they will be away from home indefinatley. The 2 dogs need to gain the trust of indivduals and aren't really socialised with others.

The family are determined to have the dogs back, they can't afford to pay anything for the care.

we are in Suffolk, on the essex/cambridge border.

I'll pm you with my email address - if you can give me full details - ages, sex, whether neutered or vaccinated, what they are like with other dogs, what they are like with cats, what they are like with children, any health problems and so on and a contact number and email address - I will post them on rescue forums and have and email out to my contact list.

Do they need to stay together? Can the family travel to get them to another area?

Would the family be able to pay for food and continue any insurance policy they may have (or cover any necessary vet bills)? Willingness to do this often makes a great deal of difference to a rescue's/rescuerfosterer's decision as to whether they are able to help.

I've just read your profile as I didn't know why you had been asked to place the dogs... I do now, so what's your professional/personal opinion of them please, that will be valuable too?
