Morning 👋
I have DS4 in with me tonight, snoring his sweet little face off!
Worrying about work stuff, even though I know I have the ball in my court, everything still feels... tricky, I don't feel like I have my ducks in a row.
😣😣😣😣

sashh · 19/02/2024 02:11

Morning.

Still crook but well enough to do a simple buffet of hams, cheeses, tomatoes, boiled eggs, olives, toast and jam.

Coffee and tea of course and some hot chocolate.

Florence is making some french sticks and Fernando is adding alcohol to the hot drinks as and when because Leo seems to have taken a liking to the alcohol.

@lovinglaughingliving

  1. take no shit
  2. remind them you can always go off with a sicknote for stress

@ScottBakula good luck with the job hunting.

Im already off, I've tried to go back but... I just couldn't do it.
Sick note is until 5th March, I suppose I'll see what they say when they speak to me this week 🤷🏻‍♀️ I need to try and breathe a bit.

@lovinglaughingliving it's a shame we can't invite our union reps to come to the café, we would definitely get them on our side.

Thank-you for the advice and links @Tilllly

It's good to see you up and about @sashh ,take it easy though.

Unions wouldn't even help me.
It was a total and utter fuck up from start to finish.
Next meeting : Thursday 11am.

Tilllly · 19/02/2024 12:52

Why? What did they say @lovinglaughingliving?

Yes, we would feed them and then they would agree with anything we said. And if they didn't, we set the goats and Leo on them

Tilllly · 19/02/2024 12:52

Why? What did they say @lovinglaughingliving?

They said that because I'd had a break in my fees/membership between 2015-2016 they wouldn't help me!

Tilllly · 19/02/2024 15:59

Which union?
Unless the issue relates to the time you weren't a member, that's rubbish
Contact regional office

ScottBakula · 19/02/2024 21:22

@lovinglaughingliving , I agree 100% with Tillly, as long as you are paying your fees now and have been paying for long enough to be covered ( I think it's a month for most unions ) the a break 10 years ago shouldn't make any difference.
I am with unison, I stopped paying for about 6 months in about 1999 but it has caused no issues at all.

If they can't/ won't help you why would they allow you to rejoin after a break. Madness ! ( them not you 🙃)

It's getting late and I fancy a hot chocolate made with proper chocolate and Jersey cream , anyone eles want one ?

Tilllly · 19/02/2024 22:07

Me please

Tilllly · 20/02/2024 03:36

English Muffins today

Florence has done various toppings - in addition to plain butter
Cheese
Bacon
Poached eggs
Jam
Baked peach / plum w cinnamon
Brie w cranberry
