We get hedgehogs, 🦔 I'd like to feed them but not sure what

@Tilllly I'm in the midlands if you want to call in for a coffee.

I just put whole eggs on the grass, the fox carries them off.

Hedgehogs you can get special food for, or you can use cat food or scraps of meat, boiled / scrambled eggs.

Give them water as well.

I had a whole group that would arrive at different times one summer (the back door opens on to the garden).

Do I need to hide the eggs now?I'll hand them over to Florence to make cakes.

I'll put out a selection of fresh fruit, ham and cold meats from around the world, but no eggs.

Fernando is making frozen cocktails so they can't be hurled at each other.

Can Fernando bring the food to my bed please?
I am feeling a bit grim, but nothing that some nice food won't fix

Persimmon fruit - are they those little ones, some call Chinese lanterns, or totally different?

Look there is already a sliced persimmon, along with lychees and dragon fruit.

Ooh all the posh fruits, I have just see the figs and passion fruits too.

@Tilllly permission are about the same size as a peach / small apple.

When they are firm I cut them into wedges and eat them a bit like a apple but I prefer them when they are ripe and soft with a peach like softness. Then I eat them ( and the skin ) like a peach
Over ripe ones that are very soft are added to meringue nest and eaten with a spoon.

Well I thought we should again go somewhere warmer so breakfast is from Nigeria. Cornmeal and bean cakes, yam and fried eggs, and fried plantain.

Florence is making coconut cake, Fernando is serving Burukutu.

I have never heard of them , is it corn meal and bean cakes or corn meal cakes and bean cakes ? Either way please can I have one / one of each
I have also never tried fried plantain so please can i some.
It's a bit early for alcohol so just a lage black coffee to go with my breakfast.

I am not working today so I think I will grab a book and sit in the comfy arm chair by the fire

So I thought we would stay in Africa but this time Kenya.

Cardamom Mandazi, rice coconut pancakes, sweet potatoes and sweet dumplings.

Obviously there is tea and coffee and a selection of fruit.

Florence is making Kenyan cake and Fernando has decided not to make changaa but will be making fruit cocktails.

Packing up is a food flask full of githeri (spicy bean stew) with chapatis.

A bit of everything but the 🥥 🥞 for me pls

An urgent bit of work because a colleague messed up @sashh . I can nibble whilst I do it.

Just popping by for pack up before DD4 has to run off to preschool. Can I grab some fruit for her? She's on a fruit spree- 5 small apples and a punnet of strawberries since she woke up...

Well fruit is ever popular so I'll keep a selection. I feel the need for toasted things with toppings, Florence is making some different types of breads, there are also potato cakes, crumpets, jaffles (OK filling rather than things on) beans and cheese.

Fernando is making fruit and coffee cocktails (not in the same glass).
