Hey @sashh it's me from the other thread! Thank you for inviting me here. Managed to get some sleep, starving now. May I have a hot chocolate with cream? And a slice of toast please - think i'll stick to a light breakfast for today

MinnieMountain · 23/11/2023 06:17

Morning @sashh . It was a masterpiece.

Afternoon tea is an excellent idea.

I had a lovely day mainly floating @ScottBakula . And my favourite curry for supper.

sashh · 23/11/2023 07:17

@Stargazer677 happy to make you toast and hot chocolate.

@MinnieMountain I'm glad you had a good day.

@Stargazer677 , welcome to the happy place cafe.

@MinnieMountain , I am glad you had a nice day.

@sashh , please can I have a selection of little sandwiches and a big slice of Minnie's cake .

Tilllly · 23/11/2023 22:53

I want black cherry jam for my toast
I insist

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 23/11/2023 23:46

Happy birthday for yesterday @MinnieMountain !
If the ice rink is still open I'd love a skate around and afterwards a really chocolatey hot chocolate and some hot buttered toast :-)

sashh · 24/11/2023 03:06

Morning.

The rink will be here until spring, the bumble cats enjoy a slide around.

Well toast seems in demand so I'll just do a pile, there are home made jams and preserves set out. Florence is making croissants and they need coffee or hot chocolate to dip in so Fernando is making a mix of hot chocolate with a bit of a kick.

@Stargazer677 tea and hot chocolate are on stand by.

@sashh
reading your post soothed me so much. Thank you x

MinnieMountain · 24/11/2023 06:17

Thank you everyone.
I’m going to sit by the ice rink and admire @Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket ’s skill.
Could I have a croissant and normal hot chocolate please?

ScottBakula · 24/11/2023 14:12

I think I must of tried to ice skate in my sleep, I have got a bruise on my shine from somewhere.

@sashh please can I have a flask of hot chocolate and thick cut Marmalade on toast to go.
I am working till 8 tonight 🙄

sashh · 25/11/2023 01:56

Morning.

@ScottBakula of course you can. Also skating in your sleep - interesting.

Well as @ScottBakula wants marmalade I'll put out a selection of marmalades and jams and makes some toast but for anyone wanting something savory there will be beans, cheese, bacon and bovril.

Florence is making a variety of breads and Fernando is making hot chocolate with or without an extra spirit kick.

OP posts:
ScottBakula · 26/11/2023 00:54

Thank you @sashh that was very nice.
My work pattern is up the wall atm so can I have a pack up that will keep me going through the day.

sashh · 26/11/2023 06:16

Morning.

So I had a lie in this morning so Florence has worked throught he night making various breads but also Danish pastries, Fernando has some interesting berry cocktails and I'm going to make omelets with cheese, ham, spring onion, ham - whatever you fancy.

@ScottBakula I'll do you a bento style with various bits you can pick at. So grilled salmon, rice balls with a pickle filling, meatballs, cheese and crackers, slices of melon and apple, some orange juice and of course a flask of coffee with some short bread to keep you going.

OP posts:
ScottBakula · 26/11/2023 13:10

That is absolutely perfect @sashh , thank you very much.
>picks up a rice ball to nibble on<

sashh · 27/11/2023 05:34

Morning.

Well it is cold and dark so I think porridge and congee and maybe a bit of bergoo.

Florence is making apricot tarts and Fernando has some whisky and hot water with a touch of sugar.

@ScottBakula Do you have a toaster at work? I've made a cheese sandwich and it is in a toastie bag. There is some sliced fruit, a flask of tomato soup and a few walnuts.

OP posts:
Tilllly · 27/11/2023 09:11

No eggs?

Am suddenly craving eggy bread

ScottBakula · 27/11/2023 19:53

@sashh unfortunately I don't have a toaster at work but a cheese buttie will be just fine.
I love tomato soup so that will go down very well.
Snacking on fruit and nuts is lots more healthy that the crisp and jaffa cakes I have with me irl

Mummaluma · 28/11/2023 04:54

Anyone else around? I'll just make myself a cuppa and sit on the warm with my book.

fivetriangulartrees · 28/11/2023 05:12

@Mummaluma I'll join you. And I'll ask Florence if she can make us some toast and marmalade.

Excited to see the ice rink.

MinnieMountain · 28/11/2023 05:54

I’m going to help myself to toast and cherry jam and stick the filter coffee on.
Any chance of a pack up today please @sashh ?

sashh · 28/11/2023 06:23

Morning.

I'm glad to see you are making yourselves at home and Florence is making toast.

OK for the egg cravers, French toast, eggy bread, convent eggs, soft boiled eggs, fried eggs, scrambled and poached all served on or with toast.

Fernando is practicing eggnog for next month.

Pack up today is a ploughman's lunch with a flask of vegi soup on the side and sliced peaches as a sweet treat.

OP posts:
MinnieMountain · 28/11/2023 07:18

I’m sure I can manage scrambled eggs on toast too 😁

The pack up sounds just right for this weather.

sashh · 29/11/2023 03:26

Morning.

It is cold wet and dark, just as it should be at this time of year.

Lots of hot drinks are needed, Fernando is making whisky all in but also bovril, and mate from South America.

Florence has been making bagels so toasted or plain with cream cheese, salmon or maybe some scrambled egg.

Packing up I'm using insulated tiffin tins so of course there will be rice, veg curry and chicken tikka with lasse in a flask.

OP posts:
Mummaluma · 29/11/2023 06:00

Bagel with salmon and brie scramble please. Have been awake for 3 hours due to a bloody owl, so glad to find some solace here!

fivetriangulartrees · 30/11/2023 04:36

Morning! Just helping myself to a pot of tea.

It's quiet in here this morning. I have our GP surgery's on-hold music stuck in my head. Mind if I put something on the record player to drown it out?
