Morning, just starting a new thread for when the last one fills up.

Ooh, Indian breakfast, lovely! My DH’s family originate from Kerala so I have occasionally had things like idli and hoppers for breakfast with dhal. I’m still waiting to fall asleep so might as well indulge my munchies while I wait.

Well I'm not a fan of this hot weather. In fact it is so hot I'm taking a coffee into the ice bar and I'm just leaving the cafe for anyone who wants to cook ot just grab something from the fridge / store room.

Yoghurt and berries from the fridge it is then!

I agree @sashh . The lido felt too warm and busy even at 7am. I’ll join you in the ice bar.

I have moved the air con into the small bedroom that I use as an office, it cannot get below 22.

Waves. It's far too hot where I am and I was up all night last night. I should have popped by. I'm with @sashh don't want anything to eat but I'll have a decaf coffee frappucino and a natter. Hope everyone gets some sleep, or failing that a lovely imaginary breakfast x

I'm leaving it up to you all again, there will be an ice cream truck in the garden, I'm staying in here.

It's raining lightly here but still very warm .
I put my bins out about a hr ago and they are crawing with maggots , even the one for paper & card , yuckch !

I wonder if the ice cream truck can actually produce ice ? Do you think he would fill the pool for us ?

In the meanwhile I think I will have some lemon sorbet and ice cold vimto.

@sashh come to Cornwall! It's a fresh 19c and damp today.

Popped some smoked mackerel in the fridge for everyone, leftover from cooking some for preschool age DD who adores the stuff.

Ooh lemon sorbet! I had that for breakfast once in Sicily. I'm going to grab a lemon sorbet and an espresso and sit by the Ice bar. It's 26 degrees in my house, cooler than the past few days but not ideal. Weather forecast to break here tomorrow

It would probably be 30 by the time I got there. Where are you? My brother lives in Truro.

I’ve just helped myself to a frickadillen from the fridge. I’ve not stopped by for a while so thought I’d call by to see how things are in the wee small hours.
I hope it’s cooling down a bit now. If Fernando is still working, I’d love a mocktail of some variety but otherwise I’ll just sort myself a jug of iced water with lemon slices.

IRL there is rain, yay.

It's still hot but the cat has come inside to tell me off because the rain is obviously me being mean.

OK so I'm not doing fancy cooking just bacon butties, I have a variety of bacons and hams from around the world.

Florence has baked a variety of breads overnight and if you have a sweet tooth there are some iced rolls.

Fernando is making apple and cider based drinks.

The ice bar is still open and I've put a cover over the pool so you don't get rained on while having a swim.

I’d love a bacon butty and a coffee please. I’ve waking at 3:30 for a wee and sleeping fitfully after that for some reason.

We are actually on holiday on a farm in the middle of nowhere, withing half an hour of the Eden Project.

OK I'm back I had a resit exam and ... well lets say I think I will be repeating the unit.

@Mummaluma That sounds nice. Is it a working farm and do you get to see the animals?

@sashh all very preschool oriented, so a couple of pony rides, and three mornings of animal feeding too. It has a swimming pool, small soft play, great little farm shop etc,and only a small number of excellent cottages. It's also a working farm away from that bit too...

DD(4) and I are currently eating clotted cream fudge, debating whether to see her favourite goat for the umpteenth time today.

@Mummaluma that's it, I getting some mini goats and maybe a few other small animals for a petting zoo.

So really tired this morning IRL so my brain isn't working as it should. So I'm just doing things on toast, beans, cheese, scrambled egg, jam, marmalade.

Florence is making some individual fruit pies and Fernando is making fudge cocktails in honour of @Mummaluma 's 4 year old.

I will come and help out at your petting zoo @sashh when you have got it up and running 🐏🦄🐇🐓🐴.

It's cooled down a lot this morning, it's cold enough to see my breath! Such a big change from the weekend.

Well I've opened the field next tot he garden and the petting zoo buildings are coming along nicely.

It's cool this morning but not cold so I think something warm but we are not yet ready for porridge.

So I've asked Florence to make some cheesy pastries, cheese twists, cheese straws, cheese scones.

Fernando is making mulled cider and gluhwein to keep out the chill.

If you don't want cheese I'll be making salmon and cream cheese bagels.

Please can I have a pack up cheeses pasty and a pot of berries of some sort

Well the petting zoo is up and running, pygmy goats, chickens, miniature horses, ducks and a couple of otters. The bumble cats are investigating.

For breakfast Florence is making vol-au-vents with mushroom fillings and some bourekas and sausage rolls. Fernando is making milk based cocktails.

I'm just going to put out a platter of hams, cheeses, pickles and bread.
