Morning, sleep is evading me as we've had some devastating family news today, meaning lots of spinning plates are coming crashing down around me. Literally felt like life was going in the right direction unyil this morning, so unfair.

Also, to PP, migraines are the worst you have my sympathy!

I fancy a trip to Betty's tea rooms in Harrogate. So here's a look at their menu.

Swiss Breakfast Rösti,served with dry-cured bacon, tomato, mushroom and a poached egg.

Florentine Rösti, served with spinach, mushroom, tomatoes, poached eggs and breadcrumbs.

Vegan English Breakfast -Smoked paprika aubergine, smoked beans, tomato and mushroom. Served with a rösti, spinach and toast.

Speciality Poached Eggs Served on toast with hollandaise sauce.

Eggs Florentine with spinach.
Eggs Benedict with ham.
Eggs Royale with smoked salmon.
Scrambled Eggs & Smoked Salmon on Toast.

Bacon Sandwich.

Bircher Muesli made with rolled oats, hazelnuts, sultanas, and pumpkin and sunflower seeds, topped with berries and raspberry sauce.

Cinnamon Toast sprinkled with cinnamon sugar.

Fernando is making iced tea cocktails and florence has some madelaines.

Morning! Bettys, eh? That's a short walk from my dd's house, so I'll have breakfast then see if she's up for a visit. I want the rosti. Or, I might have an Imperial Breakfast with rosti. That's always fun. And of course, the house blend tea. Taylors, the YT people.💛💛💛

A run of awful nights ended up with me bed sharing with almost 4 year old. Bad idea. She talks, sings, starfishes and wiggles...a lot.

Well Betty's was a nice trip north.

Today a feel a sausage based breakfast so lincolnshire, cumberland and pork sausages, lorn for any scots about, a few German ones, bratworst and those strange white ones.

So sausage butties in various varieties of bread, sourkrout to go with the german sausages and a selection of sauces and mustards.

Florence will be baking apricot pastries and Fernando is making cocktails with tomato juice.

Weisswurst, mustard and rye bread please, with a big, strong coffee.

Well I was catching up on Masterchef Australia where half the contestents made their own ricotta and then one went on to make ricotta doughnuts so I'm making ricotta doughnuts.

Florence is making ring doughnuts and Fernando is making sugar cocktails.

Please watch out for the kittenbees, they do love sugar.

Now I have a mental image of a "strange white sausage" floating around my brain 😂. Perhaps Florence has a few apricot pastries still tucked away somewhere? So could I have one of those and how about a double espresso. Will be extra mindful of the kitten bees.

Well as I have come here from another thread I'm making mozzerella in carozza, I know it isn't generally a breakfast food but I'm really in the mood.

There will also be espresso and capachino (but only until 11.00).

Florence is in a hump because I have asked her to make Italian pastries, cannoli, maritozzo and babà al rum.

Fernando is experimenting with gelato cocktails.
