Saw this by chance and will record.

I remember getting really confused by series 1 where a detective searches for a missing child and also deals with the loss of his own daughter.

I wonder if this series will also have them working across a number of european countries.

Looks like Charlotte Rampling is still in it and from memory she was based in France.

Seems like all episodes are available on line https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000nwrb

BBC Four - DNA

Detective Rolf Larsen investigates the case of a missing child.

I hope they do a recap of series 1. I dont think I ever got it clear in my head exactly what had happened and who was who!

I'm in at TV pace. I can't believe it was three years ago which explains why I forgot the whole plot. Thanks for the recap link!

I'm in at TV pace.

Hadn't thought of that and was surprised to see all episodes seem to be available. I didn't think BBC 4 did that.

Should there be another thread for tv pace, and this can be the binge watch.

I haven't watched yet, but will ask MNHQ to add binge watch to title of this thread.

I've watched 2 and wasn't that engaged. It seems too similar in plotting etc., and more unlikely coincidental links between main characters and those who are victims of crime.

But with little else worth watching I will continue.

I didn't make the connection at the time but realised I recognise Zofia Wichłacz in World on Fire, and it must have been from seeing her in the first series of DNA.

Apart from being a good actress clearly multilingual!

Well I seem to be the only one who has binged (in a leisurely way) this series.

Have to say I dont think it is as good as series 1. But that might be that I am now aware of the tricks in the series, ie confusing timelines so it doesn't make sense until you realise you aren't being shown things in time sequence.

Also not sure that it ever really works when the private story of one of the investigators becomes part of the investigation.

But in showing the extent and how brutal human trafficking is, just within western Europe really disturbing.

I'm going at TV pace @IwantToRetire but took a peek at this anyway (I always do!). I know what you mean about the private story element ... But I guess this is what we've come to expect from the "formula".

But I guess this is what we've come to expect from the "formula".

It just seemed a bit all over the place. I thought the forumula quite good, showing different police forces working together. But the personal life stuff seemed a bit too contrived.

For instance Line of Duty, although not all series were as good as it other, didn't get bogged down in the same way.
