Anyone been watching this?

Just discovered it and caught up with the first 2 episodes, it's really good.

Great makeover on the shop.

domesticslattern · 21/06/2010 22:07

Did anyone else notice Mary kept accidentally slipping into a northern accent? Sounded like she was mocking them!

ruddynorah · 21/06/2010 22:10

it's getting rather predictable now though. local produce, stock in baskets, chalk boards with prices. blah bloody blah.

Buddleja · 21/06/2010 22:41

What works, works, ruddynorah!!

lucykate · 21/06/2010 22:50

ruddynorah, it is but i guess with that type of shop, it's what works. it did look great, i'd get a veg box from there if i lived locally.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 21/06/2010 22:51

I need to go and check out last weeks shop soon. Also went to the loevlt bakery featured in the first weeks episopde and have lots of bread in my freezer.

VuvuzelaPlenticlew · 22/06/2010 16:42

Wasn't really calendar-girl though. Was more "clothes fashioned from veg" than "veg hiding tits". They were well covered, and not suggestively posed.

Mary rocks. Even if it is a bit predictable, I like watching her sort people out. Like a less shallow version of a makeover show, because making over these shops benefits a community so it's more justifiable.

DP and I noticed the northern accent. When she was with the London bloke the previous week she went all Cockney. I find that a bit irritating.

bigTillyMint · 24/06/2010 17:12

Yes, I noticed the accent changes too - do you think she did it on purpose, like mirroring them?

Buddjela · 28/06/2010 21:09

Well oh dear me to this weeks crowd

Kaloki · 29/06/2010 22:04

What was with the dressing gown??

kittya · 30/06/2010 09:35

where do they get the money to restock these shops when they are practically bankrupt. I want to be let loose inside Marys jewellery chest!

Buddjela · 30/06/2010 19:44

I don't know Kaloki - it was very odd wasn't it. I could just about cope with it when he as in the shop (as I'd presume he lived above it and had just come down) but going to someones house that he was to dedcorate
