I was wondering the same...and have also spent the last half an hour looking online for cupcake deliveries!!! I think he's gone as he took his case, it was all a bit odd .

I am wondering if mentally / emotionally he was feeling the pressure too. He didn't argue and just looked completely shell shocked at the whole experience. As he is a minor the show needs to act responsibly to ensure he is physically and mentally able to do the programme, but I doubt a bit of flu would have led to his departure. It is a lot for someone so young to cope with so I think they did the right thing to send him home. Will this shorten the series now though?

Also, how could they allow anyone reeking flu germs to handle and breathe on all those cakes they were then selling to the public?

I'm so glad I didn't buy any of those cakes after the sick boy/nail biting that went on.

Tim said at the end there were only 3 tasks left, but there is 6 of them, so it sounds it's going to be a shorter series than normal anyway.
