Oh come on, someone must have seen this? Felt like I was watching a bad version of "Bugsy Malone" with all that lipstick and those slightly-too-big suits...

And then the cardboard camping crap. Oh, how we laughed...

Funniest thing on TV?

Yes! Zoe = Tallulah!

Oh, I'm so surprised that the kid with braces is still there! An 'Expert' on camping, then it turns out he's only ever done it twice? Mind you, when those two girls were yelling at him on the phone I felt sorry for him, what little cows they were!

Can't stand Zoe and those sidelong faces she pulls - makes her seem v. immature (ok, I know she's only 16 but she runs her own business!) and does her no favours. Was v. surprised that Emma (? cardboard girl ?) wasn't in the boardroom with the last 3.

I quite liked that lime green slide thing, DD would love it for her bits when we go camping - but omg, the cardboard thing 'and it takes all sizes of shoe!' - I'd love to see him try to actually sell any on his own website!

Weird watching Lord S. try and be twinkly and avuncular with the kids - not quite right, is it? And I'm missing Margaret.

Lord Sugar's one liners are cracking me up this time...

"take the battery out"

I howled!!

kittya · 20/05/2010 01:52

Lord Sugar has a soft spot for that boy who shouldve gone. He see's himself in him. And, the girl who got away with the cardboard?!! what was that about? they are youngsters who claimed they went to festivals who the hell was going to carry that contraption? I can think of 5 things off the top of my head that would be useful. I liked the sled thing, Im surprised they didnt say it could transport a child too!! as it would. I wonder if those thousands of orders were genuine and if it possibly could be made? I liked the look of the tree walk at Kew Gardens. I so wished Id seen the first episode, Im interested in their backgrounds.

I am really surprised there is such a small thread for this cos it really was compulsive viewing!

I thought Zoe and Hebe were manipulative and actually quite sly. They were also horrible to Adam. However he was obviously way out of his depth and it was clear he was very intimidated by some of the girls.

The cardboard was the most ridiculous material and god was it ugly. I don't know what they were thinking. I think Zoe is fantastic at what she does but I think she will be the type to knock down anyone who stands in her path so may actually end up very lonely when she is older. She did have lipstick on her teeth in the boardroom though . She is actually very pretty but that lipstick does her no favours at all.

It is just the same as the grown up one. Very addictive!

NonnoMum · 20/05/2010 21:50

Oh no, it's BETTER than the grown up one. The girls look like real grown ups (almost) but with not-yet-quite-sorted hair and make up choices, and the boys look like ickle babies in the suit they bought for their nephew's christening...

And yes, the girls might have ganged up on Adam (the Artful Dodger?) a bit, but REALLY, all his bulls**t about going camping and then not able to put up a tent!

(Stopped laughing and felt slightly in awe when the ickle lad did the fab presentation that resulted in the huge order).

And just want to see the cardboard crapola thing one more time!

I really like this show. I reckon they're actually quite impresssive for their age - not many have the front to even attempt what they are doing!

The great thing is that these are very young ones so if they're idiots, at least they have a chance to change! It's the adult idiots I despair of....

BitOfFunInTheQuattro · 21/05/2010 12:58

There were parts which were hilarious:

While struggling to put up the tent,

"You sent you went camping twice a year!"

"I do. But last year was the first time I've been."

Or something like that.

Class!! I really enjoyed it.

It was wonderful tv. I actually liked how Lord Sugar was a bit nicer to them than the grown-ups (though, he sounded incredibly fake claiming didn't send that lass home because of her qualifications, I thought!).

I was longing to tell Little Miss Lipstick to look at her colouring and realize it was washing her out, but I suspect she is modeling herself on Debra.
