John Staple what kind of stupid story line is that? whats going on in Fizzys head? and Sophie, they made such abig deal about that kiss, I do like Sophie though. Btw, where is Sally supposed to be?

So many ways he is going to get caught out, so unrealistic. Would you really start work the day after an interview? Surely they check references etc. Brian is seriously annoying too.

Can see we're heading for a really dodgy patch, what with Lewis and Audrey, Snape, Molly etc, not to mention Dev and Sunita, I like Sunita a lot but wish she hadn't gone back to Dev quite so readily, also v.unrealistic IMO. In fact they should write Dev out, well past his sell by date. Bring on Blanche's funeral is all I can say.

kittya · 20/04/2010 20:36

I cant bear Sunita what is going through her mind? is that her lifetimes ambition to work in his bloody shop? and whats with wanting to trade her Victorian Didsbury house for a freaking 3 bedroomed terraced down corronation street? its so sodding unrealistic.

MrsDinky · 20/04/2010 20:55

I would LOVE that house of Sunita's, you are right, she needs her head testing. Why on earth can't Dev move in with her? Better for the kids by far.

kittya · 20/04/2010 21:11

I know. Uprooting them so they can go to Corrie primary, I always thought they were at private school. Oh, we do get involved.

fifitot · 20/04/2010 21:52

Glad it's not just me and Gary W then! Despite the fact he is half my age I bet!

Agree re Sunita - noone would give up that lovely house to live on C St. The fool!

stleger · 20/04/2010 22:13

I loved the front door of the posh house.

Feenie · 20/04/2010 22:19

Sally is staying with Auntie Gina, who was in it for a bit and was played by the same woman as Patricia Farnham in Brookie.

Quite how she has managed this when she hasn't ventured downstairs since Christmas, I have no idea.

kittya · 20/04/2010 22:52

Oh, I loved Brookside, I wonder what Patricia and Max are up to now? so, she will come home to find that little Sophie has now gone over to the other side. I love Sophie!!

Kitya - I hate to be pedantic but Sunita's house was in Bramhall. Dev brought home details of a house in Didsbury for them to purchase.

Terraces in Coronation Street may be like the tardis but they have only two bedrooms.

Feenie - Sally is staying with Auntie Phyllis, not Auntie Gina.

thegirlwiththemouseyhair · 21/04/2010 10:30

No, Rosie definitely said 'Auntie Gina' on Monday...

RebeccaRabbit · 21/04/2010 12:04

Well what do you expect from Dozy Plebster? Kevin definitely said Sal was staying with Aunty Phyllis. Maybe John Snape has her tucked away in his other gran's attic ...

wintera · 21/04/2010 12:43

Gabrielle Glaister who played Patricia Farnham in Brookside was in Coronation Street as Natalie's (Denise Welch) sister in it, not Sally's sister I think.

BettyTurnip · 21/04/2010 13:43

Auntie Gina as in Sally's sister, aunt to "the gurrrrls" - Dozy said something about sisters sticking together in times of crisis.

Please no, not another John Stape-the-teacher-tempted-by-nubile-young-student plotline (thinking of the dark-haired girl eyeing him up)?

Can't make my mind up re Gary Windass, he's no Liam that's for sure.

kittya · 21/04/2010 14:12

Gabrielle and Denise do have a look of each other but I cant remember that storyline at all. I know I saw the dark haired girl as well surely they couldnt be that stupid. And another thing, I thought he was getting a job out of town, miles away where no one would know him? It took that teacher about five minutes to drive around. Well Gary is lovely and cute and so are his parents. You couldnt fancy him though, it wouldnt be right. I think that Peter is very good looking.

I have a soft spot for Audrey too Kittya. She's always been in my top three favourite Street characters. She's very much a lady and I actually really like her bouffant . Liz

kittya · 21/04/2010 16:05

I do as well and, I loved that stripey cardigan she had on the other night!! its hard to believe Gail is anything to do with her!. I really like Beckys hair at the mo too. Ps, where is sodding Ted??

OP posts:
Feenie · 21/04/2010 17:45

Sorry, you are right about Patricia Farnham actress! Gina is Sally's younger sister, apparently.

MrsDinky · 21/04/2010 22:30

Not sure about Gary Windass as eye-candy, but that family are really growing on me, another case of complete personailty transplant, remember when they started and were the family from hell. Kittya, agree re Peter.

Trying to decide who would be my top 3 characters Harveys. Rita would be up there, Blanche too, will have think about this.

beeny · 21/04/2010 22:38

I fancy Gary Windass but he is half my age.

kittya · 21/04/2010 22:48

Well, I wouldve said Blanche but as she's on holiday it would have to be Audrey, Sophie and Steve. Im loving the Windass family and I hope they get to adopt. At first they were too Shameless for me but, I think it was the fathers baking that did it for me!

OP posts:
HarveysFurniture · 23/04/2010 17:34

Yes I agree, I love to watch the Windass family, they definitely add something. Liz

kittya · 23/04/2010 19:15

How quickly did they bounce back last night? Did anyone else cringe at that new girl with the taxi driver? Its so obvious shes Kelly's replacement albeit a nicer version

OP posts:
MrsDinky · 23/04/2010 22:26

Well, there may be a few dodgy storylines at the moment but I loved it tonight. No Stape, no Alahans, no Gail/David/Nick, just brilliant low key stuff from Ken and Deirdre (and Steve), Rita and Audrey, the Windasses (fromage anyone), it really is a cut above the other soaps.

kittya · 23/04/2010 22:43

dont forget the girl on girl action!! its a brilliant soap. I can do without the Molly/Kevin storyline though. The Windasses, where is that poor child?

OP posts:
MrsDinky · 23/04/2010 23:11

Yes, if I never had to see Molly again that would be fine by me. But that is a problem in itself, I would like Tyrone to stay and I would not like to see him get his heart broken again, so can't win!
