God knows...I reckon he sees MN as his natural competition - after all, us bitter & twisted chore-dodgers won't be able to multi-task and MN whilst watching crappy daytime TV, leaving our poor children to fester in their own crap, will we?!

HellBent · 02/03/2010 10:50

Just saw the invitation getting crumpled up! Well done whoever that was!

BitOfFun · 02/03/2010 11:09

He loves us really. I'm definitely a chore-dodger though- just not bitter and twisted. We are too similar to really dislike each other- tis friendly rivalry really...

bibbitybobbityhat · 02/03/2010 11:17

I'm telling ya! he's addicted. Its a love-hate relationship, with more love than hate .

BigBadMummy · 02/03/2010 11:22

why is he banging on about us all again? Surely this is reverse pyschology and he actually respects us and loves us all?

Come on Matthew, what is your registered user name?

PreachyPeachyRantsALot · 02/03/2010 11:55

[http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/921972-An-open-letter-to-Matthew-Wright-his-researchers-and-any am sure you've people reading Matthew]]

PreachyPeachyRantsALot · 02/03/2010 11:56

oops

Rockbird · 02/03/2010 12:03

Is this the third time in a week? Really, he needs to pull his finger out from his arse and get some new topics going. It's getting boring now Matthew. Do some bloody work!

Greensleeves · 02/03/2010 12:04

I reckon he's cowmad

BigBadMummy · 02/03/2010 12:06

Is he doing this so that it generates interest, and we all start watching?

Is it his way of trying to boost the viewing figures?

BertieBotts · 02/03/2010 12:06

Curly-wurlys are expensive now, 15p? How many members do we have again? Bad choice of present - we need one each

Shodan · 02/03/2010 12:16

Isn't there that quote "Methinks the lady doth protest too much." (erm, from somewhere in Shakespeare).

Anyway, though he's definitely no lady (unlike all of us-chaps excepted, natch), he definitely doth protest too much.

He wubs us lots and lots and wants to be in our gang.

Cicatrice · 02/03/2010 13:37

"bitter and twisted chore dodger" sums me up to a tee.

I'm thinking of putting it on my business cards.

bibbitybobbityhat · 02/03/2010 18:43

Lol Cica.

Perhaps we should have "Bitter And Twisted Chore Dodger" on the oft-talked-about Mumsnet ID badges, or even t shirts for the super-bold.

MatthewWrightIsAnArse · 02/03/2010 18:47

might I draw your attention to my name?

mamazon · 02/03/2010 18:48

sums me up perfectly.

FairyTrucker · 02/03/2010 18:48

chore-dodger describes me perfectly. Tiny bit bitter as well tbh

ChoreDodger · 02/03/2010 18:50

I like MatthewWright. I don't get channel 5 in Ireland and I miss him. He used to be lovely years ago.

MrsBadger · 02/03/2010 19:30

oh we should certainly have it on a badge

you could choose from that one and
viper
boozy shouty fishwife
caffeine-fuelled harridan
hardworking mum {and} the backbone of the country
clumsy, accident-prone, drunken loon with Le Creuset saucepan and pissed Scottish husband

though the last one may be a bit long

snigger · 02/03/2010 19:33

I think it should be a whole topic.

snigger · 02/03/2010 19:34

Or do chat/aibu fulfil that function already?

JollyPirate · 02/03/2010 20:50

Am loving "chore dodger" but "bitter and twisted" - how dare he.

Dinner Party

Smarmy corporate wife: So Val, what do you do?

Val: Well, actually, I'm a bit of a multitasker. I manage to combine bitter and chore dodging. Pretty much leaves me no time to MN but I get by...
