I have: Scrubs, Jonathan Creek, Hornblower (don't fancy that - is DHs), the godfather (don't fancy that either).

30Rock-tis very very funny
The wire might need a bit too much concentration-not easy with a newborn
am finding Battlestar Galactica pretty gripping at the moment

crockydoodle · 24/02/2010 21:14

Gavin and Stacey - love baby Neil

nomorecake · 24/02/2010 22:23

anyone else keep reading this thread title as

'good sex books - any recommendations?'...

what is wrong with my brain!!

NicknameTaken · 25/02/2010 10:32

It's an old one, but I really enjoyed the Golden Girls. A few dud episodes, but still overall very funny.

Mind you, on maternity leave I got very into Bargain Hunt and Come Dine With Me. Damn work, getting in the way of my daytime viewing!

Bibithree · 25/02/2010 11:22

Another vote for West Wing. I watched all 7 in quick succession, dh bought them for me when I went on early amternity leave with the dts at 31 weeks. They were born at 35 weeks and I'd watched all 7 seasons by then

ArcticRoll · 25/02/2010 13:34

Mad Men
Damages
Seinfield
30 Rock

MaggieMirabelle · 25/02/2010 13:38

house md, six feet under, medium (love all of those).

and if you weren't pregnant I'd say dexter, but it might give you nightmares.

hazeyjane · 25/02/2010 13:42

30 Rock - brilliant and very cheap on Amazon at the moment.

MissWooWoo · 25/02/2010 14:35

haven't read all the thread but thought i'd chip in with my suggestions:

If you haven't seen these:

Desperate Housewives
Ugly Betty
Gossip Girl
Gavin & Stacey
Frasier
Sex and the City
Will and Grace
Samurai Jack
Family Guy

I haven't seen but am planning at some point to have a Mad Men marathon ... I hear very good things about it.

Lucky you, enjoy your time

Vivia · 25/02/2010 17:48

The Office USA, Californication, Weeds, Dexter, Sex and the City, King of Queens.

batwoman79 · 25/02/2010 17:58

Ive recently got into box sets (only cos I wanted I got sex and the city movie, but hadnt seen it so watched all those first)

I like:
Sex and the city
Desperate Housewives
Gossip Girl

I did try to watch the L word, but got bored halfway through the pilot.
Ive also got Greys anatomy on wait at lovefilm (along with about 1000 games - for DH and films)

Im going to need something else soon so I might pinch a few suggestions from here for when Ive finished Gossip girl in a few weeks

MaggieMirabelle · 25/02/2010 21:12

I download everything... it's free! if you have broadband.

box sets are still so expensive. even something like the sopranos which is quite old. 60£ for s1-6

Sunshinemummy · 25/02/2010 21:17

The series of State of Play is amazing - has John Simm, David Morrissey, Kelly MacDonald, James Macavoy, Marc Warren, Bill Nighy, Geraldine James etc. I've watched it about 20 times now.

bogie · 25/02/2010 21:20

CSI I could watch it all day everyday forever.
Without a trace is also a good 1
