I did wonder about the hair (the pink blond girl going brunette) but it's probably just because it makes it look thicker.

They are wigs.

My theory is that none of the dolly birds will actually agree to having their hair cut (knowing that they'll go back to their slapperish attire) so Pod has to chuck dodgy syrups on em instead.

It's been bugging me since the start of Snog Marry Avoid.

They're not wigs and they choose which hairstyle to have, so the must've agreed to a hair cut:
If the person having the make under decides, they can go back to their hair extensions.
