That miserable, wet git on 'Corrie'? He's done nothing but look vaguely constipated for months. I kept hoping that the loan shark would actually do something to him. I might actually cheer as he drowns....

Psst, I think his demise is nigh. Thing that I don't understand is how much he actually owes. Not been watching it too closely but surely it's not enough to merit the drastic action. Can they not remortgage?

PuppyMonkey · 08/02/2010 11:54

I know Gail has a habit of choosing bad uns, but even she must be thinking she's got a right one here. Bad back, addiction to pain killers, vandalising the doctor's surgery where she works, lying to her about debts several million times, trying to sell her house for knock down price. Ooh but he's a good man really. I'm with Audrey. Lovey.

ChickensLoveMarmite · 08/02/2010 11:57

Surely you mean 'love-eh'. Audrey cannot pronounce a word with a 'y' at the end. It has to be 'eh'. Such as 'Alf-eh', 'bab-eh', and 'Nick-eh'. Its like she runs out of steam before she finishes the word.

Ooh, yes, I've read the spoilers! I think it's quite a fitting end for such a wet blanket. Gail is a bit thick really, isn't she.

I just wish he would take Gail with him. SHe is equally as annoying.

ChickensLoveMarmite · 08/02/2010 12:03

God, yes! You just know that within a year, there will be anopther man in Gail's life with a dark secret. Audr-eh will hate him, David will plot diabolically against him, and Gail will be all 'He's a good man, honest'

Totally agree - he is the most annoying character. Wouldn't you just go to Trading Standards or the police.

Oh no, moron Joe hatches an elaborate plan, which not only ends badly for him, but will probably endanger his family.

He is so thick. She can really pick them.

Lizzysbusy · 08/02/2010 15:15

I agree with 5inthebed "take Gail with him" she's such a depressive character. Joe was much better in Home To Roost... anyone remember that?

ChickensLoveMarmite · 08/02/2010 21:53

Even his drowning was pathetic. Pffft.

What a tit. Serves him right.

lovemynano · 09/02/2010 09:46

Anyone else see humourous shades of Titanic in Joe's final moments - him holding on to the side of the boat and pathetically whimpering "Gaaaaiiiiilllll ......" as she stood on the side shouting "Jooooooeeeee .....".

And for a man with financial troubles, he drove a nice car?

Remotew · 09/02/2010 11:37

Nice car, boat and could afford to stay in that place by the lake which believe me, wouldn't be cheap.

ChickensLoveMarmite · 09/02/2010 11:38

Can someone enlighten me as to why he suddenly just let go of the boat and sank? I mean, that isn't drowning!!! That's just sinking a bit!

Gail hurt his wrist in the fight to stop him so therefore he couldn't swim well enought to get to the dinghy. Its very cold in Lake Windermere at this time of the year so hypothermia would have set it.

Remotew · 09/02/2010 11:45

'Set in'.

Triggles · 10/02/2010 11:32

Argh. Tired of Gail. Incredibly tired of Audrey. The only one that was interesting was David, just because he got up to stuff, and now he's boring too. Send them all out in the boat!!

ChickensLoveMarmite · 10/02/2010 11:59

Can I also suggest pushing Ken out in a rowing boat, minus the oars? Now that we've sadly lost Blanche, the only interesting Barlow is Tracey, and she's serving a life sentence.

OP posts:
Triggles · 10/02/2010 12:08

Oh actually - I read somewhere that Tracey is coming back to the show - they've already filmed some of her scenes.....
