Anyone going to watch Vampire Diaries??

This started in America November last year - it's really good.

Well I'm half way through watching it on sky+ and I'm not very impressed so far. It's got far too many abnormally pretty shiny teenagers in it. It takes itself v seriously (unlike True Blood), and the crows and the fog - come on!

Does it get better? Or shall I just go back to waiting for S2 of TB (Feb 26th!)

Apparently it does get better,about episode 5 and it's worth sticking with.

I liked it, love Stefan but found Elena a bit generic and Damon too Pantomine Villainish.

I did find the fog and Damon killing unsuspecting courting couples quite scary though I have to admit, I am surprised that it is on at 8.00 pm on Friday, before the watershed. I don't think I would be letting my dc watch it.

All in all I think I will stick with it, a bit fluffy but enjoyable.

Stick with it... The first couple of episodes are pretty meh tbh (there's one about a comet or something where I watched it and then realised at the end NOTHING HAPPENED, not at all) but it does get better, a lot better. Damon is just adorable in his evilness. He's like a little kitten smacking at you with teeny tiny claws (then ripping your heart out and drinking your blood) I want to stroke his hair.

Glad to know it gets better. I watched it on itv player and kept flicking away to MN as it was so boring. I love any old rubbish, I'm so easy to please, so I can't believe how much I just wasn't interested in it.

I'm a big Damon fan though the actor who plays him isn't really how I imagined him.

Stefan is a bit too wet for me,though I know he has a dark side and will prove that in later episodes.

There are a lot of changes, for one the brothers are supposed to be Italian but I suppose I'll get used to those.

I did rather enjoy the episodes though we didn't get to see quite enough of Damon imho.

Think there might be something wrong with me cos I loved it and can't wait for more, but I notice it's from Kevin Williamson who was behind Dawson's Creek which I loved. Dawson's Creek crossed with vampires is a recipe in heaven for me I'm afraid! Also, hadn't read books, so no pre-conceptions.

I did enjoy it in spite of the changes and I think the actor who plays Damon is my new crush.He has such beautiful eyes.

True Blood and Being Human totally kicks it arse, there is no comparison! Damon looks like a cross between a young Tom Cruise and Rob Lowe - far far too perfect!

I can't stop staring at Stefan when i'm watching it, so so cute. I'm ridiculously addicted to this and feel far too old (37) to be watching it.

Saramoon: I'm 42 and also addicted to it - I'm loving Damon.

Damon is much more fun to watch than Stefan,though Stefan does begin to show that he too has a dark side,and conversely we get to see that Damon isn't entirely evil either.

Will anyone be watching tonight?

I hate Stefan. He's going to let Damon rot.

She is rather wet but perhaps that will change with time.

I'm looking forward to next week when she confronts Stefan.

Well i'm loving it!was not sure to begin with but it has got loads better.Damon is lush and i don't think he is that evil!he can visit me any time of night thats for sure
