i wish cbeebies would stop playing snippets of the lunchtime song at random times of day

Twice today I've nearly freaked out thinking its later than it really is.

I nearly gave the dc's lunch at 10:30 when I heard it the first time.

Oh that's what happened.

DC came up to the bedroom saying "Its lunch time!!! Cbeebies said!". I knew I had been there for a lot longer than planned but I was sure it wasn't past 10am

I could run my whole life to cbeebies

Just seen the new 'Weekend' song which is fab.

In my defence we have a very small,open plan downstairs so wherever I am I can see / hear cbeebies and the dc's tend to play while it's on. We're not all stuck on the sofa, chance would be a fine thing!

they cant always play it at the same time and then randomly through it in the mix!!

Suffice to say he concluded cbeebies must be right and I was wrong and it was, in fact, the weekend.

Plus - AIBU to have thought perhaps we'd get some new songs/programmes seeing as it's the new year? or even a return to some old favourites? It's just a rehash of the same stuff we've had for months plus endless trailing for the Story Train (which isn't fab anyway)

I should caveat that we really don't have cbeebies on all the time, so for me to be noticing this is either bad luck or their shite scheduling.

Hi, MummyElk, perhaps you'll feel better about CBeebies if you consider the alternative daytime television on offer! I'd have a bit of a crap Story Train over Jeremy Kyle any day. I only saw a bit of JK once, when MIL was watching it when she was staying with us after DC's birth. I had to leave the room, it was so awful.

oh I agree - DS3 is bad enough running to the kitchen gate and saying

without that blasted song coming on 1hr after he's had lunch and him running up and telling me he needs his lunch ARGHHH
