who is Wiggy?

I watched it too. I thought it was a great crime story. Looking forward to tomorrow's episode. Is it just a two parter?

flashharriet · 04/01/2010 22:17

Can someone summarise please? I missed the first 10 minutes, then DH & DS came crashing in so I missed the last 20.

mrmellors · 05/01/2010 13:38

Watched the last one, but found it all a bit sickening tbh - graphic and way over the top. This any better?

OhForGodsSake · 05/01/2010 15:05

the womans black wig

terrible!

OP posts:

oh right!

My theory is this: The grandmother is actually responsible for getting this girl murdered. She talked about how her DiL didn't deserve her son and how she had been useless and the reason he died. I reckon she has some dodgy connections and has arranged for it. She was still a real glamour-puss and clearly has a connection with that 40's era.

Just an idea

tulpe · 05/01/2010 21:11

oh I should add that the grandmother has no compassion for the girl because she lost contact with her when her son died and therefore wants her DiL to experience the pain of losing a child.

or not

tulpe · 05/01/2010 21:16

okay, given that her flat mate has just been done over too, I think my theory is officially bolleaux

PictureThis · 05/01/2010 21:35

I keep getting distracted by how orange the female detective is

kickassmama · 06/01/2010 14:43

I'm enjoying it!don't think its to graphic. At least they don't show flash backs of it happening like they do in csi!i find the news paper guy a bit creepy

lambanana · 06/01/2010 15:07

Her fringe is very annoying but I enjoyed it.

I deffo reckon it's Dick the journo.

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/01/2010 15:13

It's strangely compelling, I don't normally like stuff like this but watched this with fascinated horror last night.

Is very graphic though isn't it, sickening. I thinka Ciaran Hinds is marvellous, and I like the ginger girl.

Think the posh dad actor is trying too hard to come across as sinister, though. Reminds me of Alan Clark!

I reckon is the son, or one of the wierdy daughters.

mrmellors · 06/01/2010 15:21

Well last time the killer raped his own mother and then strangled her, which I thought was a bit much. Then went from posh Home Counties accent to sounding remarkably like Terry Christian in one of those strange split-personality psychopath-type plots.

And yes the main actress is terribly pretty, but why have they Tango-ed her?

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/01/2010 15:25

Lol Terry Christian.

I think in the last one Terry Christian character was the main suspect from the start, so it could be that there is no red herring, and that the prime suspect (ooh get me with Jane Tennison vocab) aka posh dad is the killer.

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/01/2010 15:27

Actually no am nostalgic for original and best first Prime Suspect. How brilliant that was, esp. Helen Mirren, Zoe Wanamaker, that bloke from Corrie and the sexist copper (Tom Bell iirc).

Lizzylou · 06/01/2010 15:34

I want to look like red headed pouting lady detective, she has an amazing figure and is sooo pretty.

No idea about the plot though

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/01/2010 15:37

Yes, she is very pretty and has great legs. I wtached the Keira Knightley Pride and Prej film last week, she is in that (without the cockernee accent).

Lizzylou · 06/01/2010 15:41

Ah yes, she is in that as well.

She has tits and is thin, a combo that is very unfair imo

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/01/2010 15:45

No, it's not on is it

Lizzylou · 06/01/2010 15:47
lambanana · 06/01/2010 17:08

She is not a patch on Roisin though off prime suspect. Red haired one is a bit too wishy washy. You know where you are with Roisin!

GetOrf - that first prime suspect was one of the best bits of telly I have ever seen.

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/01/2010 17:38

Iwould love to see the first Prime Suspect again, not seen it repeated on ITV3 or whatever. I agree is one of tyhe best bits of telly I have seen, a real classic.

tulpe · 06/01/2010 21:54

just to get back to original ishoo of thread......

Anyone watching again tonight? I almost jumped out of my skin when they opened the staircase thing!

Has the housekeeper done away with the bastard??

flashharriet · 06/01/2010 22:08

Thought this was very well done.

PictureThis · 06/01/2010 22:10

Me thinks she did.

GetOrfMoiLand · 07/01/2010 08:04

Yes, I shrieked when they opened the staircase.

Shrieked even louder when whatserface kissed Ciaran Hinds. Me and DP were going whaaaaaaaaat? Where did that spring from?

I liked it. When is the next one?
