Telly addicts

So is it me, or is the sound on 'Life' far more graphic than usually found on nature programmes?

DH says I'm imagining it.... the sound of the scorpion being crunched or that hyena being attacked is horrible! Maybe it's a side effect of HD?

Great series though... DA can't be beaten on these progs.

I just think it's not done particularly well - clunky and intrusive.

Far too much music, not just on this, but on loads of natural history. Sometimes they should just let the pictures tell the story. We don't have HD so I don't think that has a bearing on the sound.

IIRC the baby elephant was rescued from the swamp by his grandmother... showing that mammals are unique in having an extended family unit.
