I felt anguish for the woman with depression. It seems she drinks to obliterate the child abuse that she suffered and underpins her depression. She needs a lot of support.

The decorator was trying to be stoic and I really pray that the system does not grind him down.

The 20yo was a lazy,self-indulgent weasil who wore his back injury as a badge of honour. I have worked with people who cannot walk 10 yards and rely on wheelchairs. They would be horrified if they were told that they should spend the rest of their life claiming benefits.
His father also expected the country to pay for his bone-idle offspring to lie in bed all day. The paucity of ambition with this weasil was shocking and depressing. He went to school and clearly did not learn anything and his indignation at the suggestion that he should do some retraining as well as attend adult education classes was jaw-dropping. The guy is a bone-idle waste of oxygen who needs a kick up the backside.
