Derek, the man is a scream and all I did was be a bit nosey and watch the C4 roundup. I was hooked.. He's hilarious!

lilsmum · 31/05/2005 00:20

i love makosi, she is so funny!

hunkermunker · 31/05/2005 00:26

Derek's v funny, as is Kemal. Maxwell is an ignorant arse. Makosi's very stupid (and her case was radio-controlled to open on the last key), Science is funny, but not in the way he thinks he is, Roberto has to love himself cos nobody else will, Vanessa is a female Marco (ie vile), Anthony is like a nicely painted wall, Lesley is common as very common muck, Mary is a freakazoid, Sam thinks she's far more interesting than she is, Saskia is eminently forgettable and if Craig isn't gay, he's in serious denial.

One of them will probably win.

lilsmum · 31/05/2005 00:27

pmsl @ HM

MarsLady · 31/05/2005 00:28

there is nothing nicely painted about Anthony ewwwwwwwwwww

hunkermunker · 31/05/2005 00:28

Wasn't saying he was good-looking, just bland, really. And v dull.

MarsLady · 31/05/2005 00:29

Makosi is rather clever and funny and Roberto reminds me of someone

joash · 31/05/2005 00:32

Didn't even know that it had started again.

hunkermunker · 31/05/2005 00:32

Makosi is hiding her intelligence well...but I guess as a cardiac nurse, she can't be that dim. But if she does her air-raid siren screech one more time on entering the Diary Room!

As for her "I know how to annoy them, I'll be a princess, all me, me, me" - anyone else think that she's not having to try too hard with it?!

dw and i are BB fans but we're having trouble getting into it this year. i just don't like many of the people in there.

most of them seem to just represent everything that is wrong with (many) twenty-somethings right now.

ultra-materialistic, selfish, witless, overaggressiveness (which is very false), so sex obsessed it's just boring, apparently acedemics but still don't seem to know basic sh*t.

JoolsToo · 31/05/2005 09:39

very well put DC - same as last year really - oh and the year before, ...... and the year before that .......

DaddyCool · 31/05/2005 09:42

hmmm, i don't know jools. there has always been a fair share of idiots in previous years but you sometimes got some genuinely nice, well rounded people once in a awhile who were strangely interesting to watch.

it's weird, i know its rubbishy but i still quite like it.

quite like the house this year though

sparklymieow · 31/05/2005 09:42

I can't stand Science, he seems to want a fight with everyone, was watching it late last night and they were all singing for Mary (her birthday) and when he was rapping, he got annoyed with the others doing some background noises, and said they were being disrepectful, when Roberto was trying to sing, Science started talk over him...... then an argument started......

JoolsToo · 31/05/2005 09:46

DC - yeah, I know, you're spot on!

bring back Victor

DaddyCool · 31/05/2005 09:51

victor pmsl. i couldn't help but watch him.

"they call me the plumber, because i like to lay pipe"... brings a tear to my eye.

beansprout · 31/05/2005 10:15

I agree with you DC but the problem in the early stages is that there is very little to go on and they are all going with the flow (of booze and hormones) and so there isn't much else to see at the moment. As usual the older ones sit that stuff out a bit. I think they are quite an interesting bunch. The only one I am really dubious about is Lesley as she really does not seem very nice at all. Am inclined to view her first night nurse's outfit as a cry for help rather than an expression of self-confidence though!!

Marslady - I have the same feeling about Roberto - where have we seen him before? And what actually happens if I fancy a BB contestant (God help me)?

dinny · 31/05/2005 10:16

Derek will win!

PinkFluffPudding · 31/05/2005 10:17

Totally agree DC - I'm only 29 and was pretty wild in my early-mid twenties but shuddered at the lot of them on Friday night.

Now for my old-fogey rant: it seems that the message is becoming ever more clear these days that to 'be' someone, i.e. what many young people think is the epitome of success, you have to be vile, rude, arrogant, obnoxious, promiscious (sp?) and aggressive. I hate to think how that kind of message is reaching today's impressionable teenagers who probably see these 'older' people as acheiving something they could only dream of - i.e. that they've managed to get on BB.

DaddyCool · 31/05/2005 10:19

oh no! derek! isn't he the nasty-ass hairdresser who's never read a book but seems to know everything about everthing but actually knows sht about sht?

dinny · 31/05/2005 10:20

no, the gay black Tory!

PinkFluffPudding · 31/05/2005 10:21

BTW, I think Makosi should win. To go into a house full of strangers and be brave enough to try and make them all dislike her is no mean feat.

Early days though... just can't find anything endearing about any of them. Espeially not 'ehhh... Lesleh'

DaddyCool · 31/05/2005 10:22

absolutely pinkfluff. i too am 29 and sometimes i feel like a prude going on about this but you're absolutely correct. they are sooo shallow and pathetic. they don't seem to have anything about them.

dinny · 31/05/2005 10:23

that's Craig - what a pillock. Am sure he's been on another Tv programme before. The Salon, maybe...? Anyone know?

DaddyCool · 31/05/2005 10:23

that lesley is horrible. i had the displeasure of seeing her big fat boobies in the shower the other day.
