I had never seen it properly before, always clashed with something, so DH got all 5 series and (laid up with swine flu), we have raced through series one. I am loving it.

Sadly it means we have left 'The WIre' halfway through season 4, but so much good telly...i am spoilt! Took my mind off my swollen tonsils

( I love discovering old series, because it means you don't have to wait for the next episode, iyswim).

Has anyone seen them up to date? Does it stay this good? Or is it really rubbish and my sick brain is playing tricks??

If I remember correctly from the episode a few weeks ago, a woman patient came into hospital with lots of symptoms and the team did the usual thing, trying to find out what was wrong. They realised that she was suffering from pre-eclampsia and because she hadn't had any treatment for it, it was going to be fatal. The patient admitted that she'd given birth and abandoned the baby, and Cutty (hope I've got her name right too!) found the baby being looked after by some drug addicts in an abandoned house. She took the baby and reunited her with the mother- I think the mother only had a few days to live. Cutty then adopted the baby after the mother died.

Was discussing this new obsession of mine with a friend at work, and she agrees that 20 years ago the thought of fancying ugh Laurie in all his geeky glory would have been wrong- but now, he has definitely aged very, very well.

I am not liking Houses's ex Stacey much, she is very annoying.

I will eventually get back to watching the Wire...

I love House...

I think very naughty things about Jesse Spencer, who I have been watching on TV since his Billy days..

I was watching Much Ado About Nothing (the Kenneth Branagh version) yesterday which stars a very young and innocent looking Robert Sean Leonard (Wilson).
