Suuposed to be a good film but read the precis and it sounds like it might have a sad ending.

Not up to it at the moment - just had baby and a bit hormonal!

So is it happy or sad?

Thanks!

Happy if I remember correctly.

Wilts · 18/07/2009 20:02

Happy

expatinscotland · 18/07/2009 20:02

A stupid one.

Such an unbelievable crock.

Oh, a 35-year-old in a 16-year-old's body. Yeah, right.

LovelyTinOfSpam · 18/07/2009 20:04

Oh stupid I can deal with, won't be paying attention properly as MN anyway.

Just don't want to end up sobbing!

Thanks all!

I still cried though.

But its happy.

Well bittersweet happy.

expatinscotland · 18/07/2009 20:06

I cried for the time I wasted watching that over-rated crock.

pickupthismess · 18/07/2009 20:23

I thought it was really sad actually, although it was meant to be happy (don't want gove the ending away).

littlerach · 18/07/2009 20:27

I cried

Jbck · 18/07/2009 20:30

You've just had a baby, don't watch it you'll just cry all the way through. It's not that sad though.

Hassled · 18/07/2009 20:34

Do not watch it if you've just had a baby. You will be a basket case by the end of it. I think it's a great film, and the end is bitter sweet rather than downright sad, but really, pick something else.

LovelyTinOfSpam · 18/07/2009 20:43

Oh but I'm watching it now!

Not sobbing yet they just been to meet the adopting couple.

Does she keep it? Guessing she doesn't, hence the sobbing...

Expat I would give you back the hour or 2 if i could

you really wanna know?

because i'll be happy to tell you if you don't want to waste your time .

PartOfTheHumphreysGroup · 18/07/2009 20:52

What is it about having babies that makes you want to watch anything to do with babies?? We never watch films but somehow made dp watch this within a couple of months of giving birth!
It's happy afair.. Not going to give away ending but don't think I blubbed..

PartOfTheHumphreysGroup · 18/07/2009 20:53

Oh yeah and it is fairly shit, but there is nothing better on the tv at the moment!

expatinscotland · 18/07/2009 20:54

It's mega unbelievable shit.

The Juno character and her boyfriend are so far off unbelievable for 16-year-olds it's ridiculous.

Even my mom thought it was dumb and she liked Mamma Mia!

expatinscotland · 18/07/2009 20:55

Sorry, so far off believable.

LovelyTinOfSpam · 18/07/2009 21:06

Well it's chuntering away in the background so far no trauma.

Mind you IU can't imagine it being as bad as torchwood, which was on from the week I came home from hosp, and had me nearly in hysterics...

Expat I am getting a vibe that you're not too keen on this film?

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 18/07/2009 21:12

you wanna know the end?

LovelyTinOfSpam · 18/07/2009 21:13

Hmmmmmmm no on balance...

Did predict adopty couple splitting up though.

It's not as bad as a lot of shite formulaic american tosh I've had the misfortune to experience.

PartOfTheHumphreysGroup · 18/07/2009 21:21

Tbh I can't actually remember the ending gripping stuff...

monkeyfeathers · 18/07/2009 21:22

I thought Juno was terrible, but for some reason I watched it again on Sky because there was nothing else on recently. It's still terrible. Juno is really irritating.

I also thought that the whole message of the film was dubious to say the least.

expatinscotland · 18/07/2009 21:24

I couldn't agree more, monkey.

LovelyTinOfSpam · 18/07/2009 21:24

The baby doesn't die does it?

Would be torchwood hysterics all over again

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 18/07/2009 21:24

no, the baby doesn't die.

PartOfTheHumphreysGroup · 18/07/2009 21:26

No I'm fairly sure that would have made me cry!
